Corner Clock v1.0

Corner clock is an attempt to create a clock rainmeter skin in style of corner calendar.Similar to corner calendar you can change:

  • Size (by setting the divider value in rainmeter config.Best is between 1-2.The bigger the value is the smaller the skin will be)
  • Color (You can change the 3 color variables in skin)
  • Transparency (Alpha values for highlighted and background text)
  • Rotation (To change corner that the clock will be displayed 0 is default.Possible values are 0-90-180-270.Top corners not recommended as rotation also flips text making the clock difficult to read)
INSTALLATION NOTES:
  • Make sure you have the latest rainmeter version (1.2 or above)
If you have trouble installing the skin with Rainstaller open the .rmskin file with winrar or winzip and copy the c-clock folder in Skins folder to C:\Users\"Your user name"\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins.Restart Rainmeter and select c-clock from the configs
  • If you want to resize the part of skin that will be displayed Right-click on skin>Go settings and uncheck the keep on screen and snap to edges.
  • To open config menu click on clock
  • The Package includes the latest corner calendar c-clock and the old corner calendar with grunge font style.

  1. Hey man, GREAT job with all this work. Corner Calendar has ended up being exactly the type of thing that I wanted to put on my 2nd monitor and I just found you made a clock version. Both are near-perfect for my use.

AAA+ work, for sure. The only, and ONLY suggestion that I can make is to allow the end-user to pick which way the text/numbers curve. That's not really a complaint, either. Just a thought.

On a rating scale, I'd give your work a 98%.

  2. Thanks very much for the positive feedback:)

As it comes to your suggestion this is the biggest drawback of the skin for now and i am also planning to add a top-corner support by changing the curve and text orientation.
Also any suggestion for improving my work will be appreciated as always:)

  3. Have you thought about doing anything to monitor drive space? There are very few things on Customize.org that are actually pleasing to the eye when used in any sort of creative theme on one's desktop and your creative side seems to be pretty good at making things that flow together well.

  4. Actually i did some experimental work with denmark font, a cpu, ram, disk usage display, i can upload it after making some tweaks.

  5. Yeah, that'd be really cool. Umm... the only thing I could suggest is the option to add as many drives as one wants, if that's possible (along with the standard color selection that's in your current works).

All the other disk usage skins that I've seen have a set amount and/or no easy way to specify what you want to monitor. For example, there's one that I just tried that looked good with simple curved bars that fill up according to usage, but the initial options only allow you to use 2 bars. C: and D:, effectively. My computer (my main system) has 3 physical drives. 2 are in a simple raid and partitioned into C, D, E, F and the 3rd drive is G. So... you can see where the limitations lie.

I'd be looking forward to trying a system monitor if you were to put one out. I already replaced the weather monitor that I was using with the one I found here. :-)

  6. lol i have a similar setup in total partitions with 2 partititons plus 3 external drives:)

It wont be a problem to implement such a setup and i will include such a support for up to 6-7 partitions.

  8. This and corner calendar are very nice, but the main inprovement I can think of is that they are tweeked so the radius allows them to be nested together nicely in the same corner. I have put the clock in the bottom right of my screen and the calendar inside/below that, however the gap between them is uneven - it's wider in the middle than at the edges.

Perhaps you could bundle the two two together so they sit together more attractively?

Also, in the config menus, the instructions/notes are impossible to read because they disappear off the side of the window. For example when you click "Divider" in the config menu, the text at the bottom says: "Variable to change the size of calenda" - you can tell there is more text to the right and below but it does not have enough room to display it.

    Really nice work otherwise though!

  9. Thanks for the comment:) I also noticed the gap between the calendar and clock but after a little experiment with the divider values i managed to make them nested.I will release both calendar and the clock as a single config in the next update so it wont be problem:)

In config menu i used a ready AutoIt tool so to show the whole text some modification in the script is needed.yes it can be done but havent looked at it yet:)
